  2. Floats says:

So that’s $15 less than I paid to go back next week. Thank you BA, thank you Ms Wilcox, we are so glad you are recognizing Bermuda as an important route and not a cash cow.

Previously the price for July economy peak season July was quoted at $1480. This sale fare of $975 is inclusive of tax which is about $500 savings. Any idea what hotels in BDA are charging right now for one night during peak season Newport week!

      • Floats says:

Less than hotels in London in July and August! Silly airfares and crazy hotel prices to see some fat dudes throw a shotput, no thanks. I’m staying in Somerset.

  3. Baltic Fury says:

Hey BA, there is MASSIVE RECESSION ON. People can’t afford this, its a crazy price. I could say the same to your partner AA about the Miami route, but airlines will keep going bust, with empty planes, because this is TOO MUCH.

  4. GPS says:

  7. Blop says:

So come on BA, what have you got to say for yourself? So you love us, but you fleece us. If only we had an alternative…are you listening Mr Branson??

  8. Happy Flyer says:

Have any of you ever checked the breakdown of your BA ticket?

You will see that over a huge chunck of your ticket cost is Airport taxes, fuel surcharge, and to a smaller percentage airline service fees.

If you want to blame someone, blame the airports for increasing security fees,(and trying to keep you safe.) Blame opec or whoever raises or lowers the cost of fuel.

It’s the same thing with American airlines. I fly both to London. I just looked at a BA ticket for September. $815.00 was actual ticket price; $513.00 was in taxes fees, and fuel surcharge.

Unfortunately even if Sir Richard sent one of his Virgin aircraft this way, his ticket prices probably wouldn’t be much less.

The last time we had cheap rates coming out of the UK, the airline ended up going belly up.

It’s a business; BA is in it to make money. Go figure.

Hey BA, thanks for keeping us connected to Europe for so long, Happy Anniversary.
