They’ve put TV’s in The Newport Room?

    • Rumandcoke says:

This is heartbreaking news to hear that the best restaurant in Bermuda (and was it not also designated the best in the Caribbean?) has been turned into a gastropub.

Wonderful chefs over the years ,including Roland Mesnier who moved on as pastry chef at the White House, will be saddened to hear about the demise of the once elegant dining room. Five star food, attentive service and best decor in Bermuda now gone….a comment on how low tourism standards have tumbled.

It’s now a Pub yet “reservations are suggested?” What kind of pub even takes reservations?? Sounds like an identity crisis to me. Start the countdown until it closes…..again. I give it one season, tops.

And you don’t have to wear a jacket and tie like its 1953?

    “reinvention, revitalization and renewal,”

They forgot “recalibration” and “resetting the dial”.
