Marshall, Evans, King Compete In Canada
Bermuda track and field athletes Arantxa King, Aaron Evans and Lamont Marshall all competed at the InColor Hub City Track and Field Classic in Canada.
Aaron Evans won the 800m clocking a time of 1:47.92. Jamaal James from Trinidad and Tobago finished second in 1:47.99 and Tevan Everett from the United States who finished third with a time of 1:48.02.
Lamont Marshall finished fifteenth in the 1500m in a time of 4:02.52. Canadian Taylor Mline broke the tape in a winning time of 3:43.69, Matthew Lincoln also from Canada finished second in a time of 3:44.01 and Matthew Elliot from the United States finished third clocking 3:44.04.
Arantxa King — who is going to the London 2012 Olympic Games on a wildcard — won the Women’s Long Jump with a top leap of 6.18m. Patricia Sylvester from Grenada finished second leaping 6.16m and Natasha Coleman from the United States finished third with a top leap of 5.97m.
Both Evans and Marshall will have one final attempt to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
