Tickets For ‘Bermuda Glee’ Now Available
Tickets for Bermuda Glee — a 10 day performing arts intensive presented by the foundation for Bermuda students aged 14-18 — are now on sale to the public.
62 students and five teachers from the public and private school system have been working together since last Friday to prepare original pieces of musical theatre that the students have created themselves.
Seven of the students have been working with Shaw Festival Technical Director Don Finlayson to master skills in lighting and sound design and other aspects of providing backstage management. Noted Bermudian musician and producer John Woolridge has assisted the students in choosing music for their presentations and in arranging vocals.
Bermuda Glee students will be the opening act at tonight’s [July 4] Harbour Nights festival. Students will perform ‘Seasons of Love’ from the hit Broadway musical Rent.
Bermuda Glee is presented by The Argo Foundation as the foundation’s investment in Bermuda’s young people. The programme is designed to encourage collaboration and partnership in an effort to break down some of the barriers that separate the community.
Tickets to the Sunday, July 8 performances can be purchased at www.ptix.bm. All tickets are $15 plus a $2 service and handling charge. Tickets to Bermuda Glee are only available online. There will be no tickets sold at the door and no Will Call.
Bermuda Glee performances are staged at The Berkeley Institute. There are two shows [at 2:00pm and 6:00pm]. Last year’s performances were sellouts and garnered wide acclaim from the community.
