Moonlight Movie Series At Botanical Gardens

The Moonlight Movie Series continues with two nights of movies at Botanical Gardens over the Labour Day Weekend. Each night will include double features, kiddie land and a selection of food vendors.

On Friday, August 31st, The Pirates! Band of Misfits (PG) will start at 8:30pm. Pirate Captain sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz for the Pirate of the year Award. The quest takes Captain and his crew from the shores of Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London.

The Friday night late feature is Think Like a Man (PG-13) which will screen at 10:30pm. Four women have given up on getting their men to do what they want until they find a how to book written by Steve Harvey. They start using his advice about relationships, and their men start falling in line, until the men discover what the women have been doing, then the war is on.

Saturday, September 1st, will also involve a double feature starting with Journey 2 (PG) at 8:30pm. Sean Anderson partners with his mom’s husband on a mission to find his grandfather, who is thought to be missing on a mythical island.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island:

The Saturday night late feature is The Hunger Games (PG-13) showing at 10:30pm. Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister’s place for the latest match.
