PHC Zebras Youth Football Players Off To UK

August 17, 2012

PHC Zebras Youth Football Division will be departing for the UK this evening [Aug 17] traveling to Reading Football Club as part of a long standing relationship with Reading FC .

Two teams consisting of over 30 young men from the Under/10 and Under/12 divisions will be training and playing three matches against local opposition. They will also have three training sessions with Reading FC Coaches, which promises to be rigorous as they will undergo intensive training to enhance their skills and development. Also on their tour schedule are two Premier division matches: Reading vs Stoke City and Chelsea vs Reading.

The boys have been training over the last few months in preparation of this tour and have had numerous fund-raising activities over the last year – we thank the community for their on-going support along the way.

This tour is another step in their development as footballers and young men. The cultural exchange and intensive training that they will receive at Reading FC – who have just returned to the Premier Division – will provide them with long lasting memories and valuable learning experiences.

Accompanying the players will be PHC Parents/Chaperones, and PHC Football Coaches.
