Flora Duffy Finishes 2nd In Buffalo Triathlon
Two time Olympian Flora Duffy finished in second place and collected a check for $4,000 at the Nickel City Elite Women Triathlon in Buffalo, New York on Saturday [Sept 15].
Duffy finished with an overall time of 2:04:21, second behind Sarah Haskins from the USA who clocked 2:03:05. Duffy finished the swim in 20:10, the bike in 1:05:22, and the run in 37:24.
Joanna Brown from Canada finished third clocking 2:07:29, Kaitlin Shiver from the USA finished fourth with a time of 2:07:29 and Anna Battiata also from the USA rounded out the top five finishers with a time of 2:08:36.
The event consisted of a 1500 meter swim, 40K bike, 10K run; conducted in the Olympic-style format of racing – draft-legal with multiple loops. Full results here [PDF].
