Dominique Mayho Continues Training In France
Bermudian cyclist Dominique Mayho is continuing to training in France, where he is spending two months training with Philippe Mauduit and racing with the club UCC Vivonne.
Commenting on his France experience Mayho said, “Since I’ve been in France I’ve been training mostly on the same roads because I didn’t want to get lost.
“This week I decided to do a little exploring. I found some really nice routes for training – and I got lost almost every day. It was pretty easy to find my way back though by looking at the road signs.
“This week I had one race on Sunday with the Category One guys. The course was mainly flat with one short hill. I can see that I’m getting much fitter because the last time I raced with these guys two weeks ago, I only lasted a hour. This time was much better.
“I was in the front group until two laps to go. I think I got a top ten finish overall and I won the Category Two division so they gave me a cup and flowers. Next Sunday I’ll be racing with Category One again, and I hope to stay with them until the end of the race.”
