Woman Pleads Guilty To Assaulting Police Officer
In Magistrates Court this morning [Sept 24] , 22-year-old Jasmine Hendrickson pleaded guilty to using offensive words to police and assaulting a police officer, with the Court hearing she had told the police officer to F–k off about 20 times and spat on the officer.
She initially pleaded not guilty to two charges of using offensive words to police and assaulting a police officer. A few minutes later, while she was waiting to have a trial date set, she asked if she could change her plea and Senior Magistrate Archie Warner allowed that.
Ms Hendrickson then pleaded guilty to the charges and the Magistrate was told that around 10:50pm on 22nd September, outside Chewstick, she had used offensive words to a Police officer saying: “F–k you bitch.”
The facts read out to the Magistrate said that Ms Hendrickson had said that about twenty times, had lunged at police officers, and had spat on a police officer’s wrist. Ms Hendrickson was arrested and taken to Hamilton Police Station, kept overnight, and produced at this morning’s hearing.
Asked to explain her actions, Ms Hendrickson told the Magistrate that she had “felt threatened” and that she “was subject to unusual roughness.” Explaining that she lived with her mother, Ms Hendrickson began crying but continued: “I never want to embarrass my family. I want to focus on being the best that I can be.”
She said that she had been putting a lot of time into her studies and that this Saturday was the “first time that I thought I could go out.” She also admitted she had been drinking.
Her mother was in Court and spoke on her behalf. She told the Senior Magistrate that her daughter was a 3.8 GPA student who was brilliant and doing well at college.
Senior Magistrate Archie Warner ordered a Social Inquiry Report, adjourned the case to 8th November for sentencing, granted $2,000 bail, and set a curfew of 9:00pm to 6:00am.

Alcohol is a scourge in our community – responsible for so much, police abuse, domestic abuse, depression, lowered inhibitions leading to date rape and pregnancy, brain-damaged children without consciences, multiple health issues from heart and lung problems to cancers and kidney diseases. This drug (and yes it IS a drug)is worse than all the other drugs combined, except tobacco, negatively affecting every organ in the body, especially the brain.
Didn’t PRIDE’s budget get cut too? I know CADA’s did.
silly cow acting like a damn tramp….some young women act worst than vagrants
Ridiculous really.. as a parent I understand why you wouldn’t want to see your child get a harsh sentence, however, you keep running to their rescue and it will only get worse…. 20 times ok really let her say that to you as a mother 20 times and then spit on you what you gonna say oh well my daughter is a 3.8 GPA student who was brilliant and doing well at college so I will let it slide…. come on parents it all starts at home! With a GPA that high she obviously knows right from wrong and she is a smart young lady so really come on Jasmine do better!!!!!!
3.8 GPA,WoW,does that include a course in languages ?
That is what is wrong with dopey parents defend foolishness..come on baby girl I will have your back for your foolish that’s why society is messed up cause of parents like this.go figure
Her mother should have brought her to court, made her apologize to the female officer whom she swore at 20 times and spat on(that, the spitting),was the most vile thing anyone could do, and then she should have cut her a+*! In front of the judge and the officer….to all you retarded clueless parents, if your child steps out of line, put them back in line. Whats sad is that some parents are afraid of their children, and most oftentimes, there are no fathers in the equation, which leaves the mother(or grandmother if the mother is not able) to look after the child. Sad!
Anyone who disrespects the law or the lawmakers or enforcers deserve exactly what they get. I have no pity for these kind of disresctful people.
