Great place to be to get a good laugh!

    • OBA Voter says:

Minister Dunkley, Minister Gibbons, Minister Pamplin will all be sharing GP1. Vote for our people plus 1. We will rule again and things will be all better for us fairer and richer folks. Vote OBA.

      • Ringmaster says:

You are clearly a PLP spokesperson by your inane racist comment, which has no place in Bermuda, and is not an isolated occurrence. What a sad indictment of Bermuda today that you have to stoop so low.

      • Mad Dawg says:

I’m surprised the PLP stoop to this childish level. Grow up.

        • Triangle Drifter says:

You should not be surprised. It all started with “at your peril”.

  2. Your joking says:

Hope the Green Wave cocktail is the wave goodbye??

  3. More Confused says:

Let’s have a “spot the number of GP cars being used in breach of Government regulations” driving up and in the parking areas. GP cars are Government property, not PLP Party property.

    • Zombie Apocalypse says:

      Good point.

If this is a PLP event, then government cars should not be used to attend it.

      Right?

  4. Your joking says:

500,000 corporate sponsors and they just might cover Bermuda’s debt…how big is the room??

    • Oh but remember…this is not a Govt. event….NONE of the proceeds will go towards the debt of our country….even IF they were to come close to any significant amount of contribution NONE of it would be used to ease the people’s burden!!!

  5. Um Um Like says:

    Green kool-aid, sweet!

  6. Family Man says:

    The cheapest tickets are $100.

I wonder if anyone from Willowbank Hotel or White’s Grocery will be going?

    Nah, probably just civil servants.

  7. The stooge show says:

only pathetic PLP stooges will attend this event, all sensile PLP supporters are biding their time to vote at election and then clear paula and her stooges out of cabinet

  8. Triangle Drifter says:

If anyone goes to check on GP cars don’t fprget to check the staff parking areas. Lots of room there to try & hide.

    • Zombie Apocalypse says:

Any time after about 2.00pm should do it. They have to check into their suites of course. Take a camera.

      • More Confused says:

Good point about the GP cars. After all, if the PLP Government can tear down legally placed political advertising in Government owned bus shelters, then how can the PLP turn around and use Government owned vehicles for PLP party political purposes? Typical hyprocrisy it seems.

  9. street wise says:

One thing we’ve learned over the years is that the Party Lovin’ Party (the PLP) sure knows how to put on a party! The PLP are very good at that. Too bad they couldn’t transfer that focus and positive energy over to the effective, transparent management of the Country… oh, right they haven’t learned how yet!

14 years of the PLP is enough!

    Vote wisely….

  10. cool... says:

Premier Cox is the Leader of the opposition by vote of the central committee and hence was also accepted as Premier of Bermuda..The ruling party being the ruling Government should qualify them to attend; as the cabinet cannot possibly ignore the one most equal! lets not be that silly…you would expect to see GP cars at this event because the PLP party is still the ruling government! duh…Even though it is not an official government event, the leader of the Government will be speaking and other government members, mps will be present…….. these situations get more and more complicated..sigh..

    • Zombie Apocalypse says:

Why? Why should they use government assets to attend a PLP party?

Why can’t they use their own damn cars, or catch taxis, like everyone else has to? Because they’re the rich political elite and different rules apply to them?

Two weeks ago we were told it’s unacceptable to use government property for party political purposes. What is different about this?

    • More Confused says:

So Cool, you said “Premier Cox is the Leader of the opposition by vote”. That’s a very interesting statement. Are you implying you aleady know the result of the next election?

The ruling party is just that, they are not the Government. The PLP has gone out of its way to bend the facts to have some people believe they are the same, but they are not. If the PLP lose the next election the GP cars stay with Government to be used, or hopefully reduced in number, by the next Party. They are Government property, not Party property. However, I am sure there will be dozens up at the Southampton Princess.

      • cool... says:

@more confused—-we are talking about how she arrived at present, the protocol of plp is to have delegates conference and central committee gets to vote on leader, not the voters is my point..after becoming leader she was selected by the rest of the mps to become Premier and confirmed, validated by the governor ..I have no clue what is happening within that party or any other party!!I am only stating a fact! the party selects the leader and the leader becomes Premier..so please do not be confused, I was just stating a fact not an opinion. Have the voters ever selected the Premier?maybe elected! but not selected!Just sayin..its all apples..

  11. Rosy Hill says:

Outrageous and getting worse every day……………call the darn election!!

  12. Watching On says:

With so many people out of work I would love to see just who could afford $3000 aye. That money can go a long way for someone with bills to pay and who need food

    • Mad Dawg says:

Unless you’re a fat cat contractor still benefitting from government contracts. Then $3,000 is nothing. Just add it to your next government bill.
