BEF To Host Equestrian Welcome Home Show
On December 8th & 9th the Bermuda Equestrian Federation [BEF] in partnership with the Department of Parks, will host the Welcome Home Show at the Botanical Gardens.
The Welcome Home Show is in its second year and the event serves to showcase local adult and junior riders in team show jumping and hunter discipline, and also western riding classes and carriage driving classes.
Funds raised from this competition will assist the Bermuda Equestrian Federation in their fund raising efforts for the BEF Junior Fund, which will continue to provide training opportunities for promising young riders to train overseas.
The 2011 Welcome Home Show afforded sponsorship for our Olympic equestrian, Jillian Terceira, to attend the London Olympics and provided a subsidy to two local junior riders to train overseas this past summer.
