Daylight Savings Time: Set Clocks Back 1 Hour

Daylight saving time began in the early hours of this morning [Nov 4], and clocks should be set back one hour.

The most recent cycle of Daylight Saving Time began on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 2am, and ended on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 2am.

First mentioned by Benjamin Franklin in 1784, the modern idea of daylight saving was proposed again in 1895 by George Vernon Hudson and it was first implemented during the First World War [1914-1918].
