AME Church Hosts Bishop Ingram & Wife

The 118th elected and consecrated Bishop of the 1st Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church the Rt, Rev. Gregory Ingram and his wife, Episcopal Supervisor, the Rev. Dr. Jessica Ingram arrived at the LF Wade International Airport on Wednesday [Dec 5].

They were greeted at the Airport by the Presiding Elder the Rev Betty L Furbert-Woolridge and a host of local Pastors and Church officials of the Bermuda Annual Conference.

Accompanying the Bishop and the Episcopal Supervisor was Rev. Dr. Lanel Guyton who has recently been transferred as the Pastor of St. Paul AME church to pastor a church in New Jersey.

The Episcopal leadership team are here on a whirl wind trip primarily for the Bishop to preach the Annual Advent Service which will be held on Thursday at 7:30 pm at Mt. Zion A.M.E.Church, and for the Episcopal Supervisor to hold a breakfast with the Missionaries of the AME churches.

While on the island the Bishop is expected to host a meeting with the Pastors as well. The Bishop and the Episcopal Supervisor will leave the island to return to Philadelphia on Friday.
