Slideshow: Saltus Upper Primary Nutcracker Play
The students at the Saltus Upper Primary Department have been working very hard in the last few weeks with the assistance of teachers, parents, SGY students and musical director, Mrs. Margaret Fox, to prepare for three performances of The Nutcracker.
Typically a ballet, the screenplay was adapted by two Saltus parents so that every child in the department could perform on the stage. Mrs. Brittany Adams, a Saltus teacher who is also a ballet teacher at Jackson School of Performing Arts, choreographed a piece for 18 of the students to ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’.
Ms. Liz Dowdell, the Assistant Director of the Upper Primary and Producer of the show, looks forward to a full house this evening for the final performance. The slideshow below shows over 250 photos from last night’s [Dec 11] performance.
