Man Injured When Motorcycle Collides With Car
[Updated] Emergency services responded to a report of an accident near the junction of Clarkes Hill and St David’s Road shortly after 6.00pm tonight [Jan 9].
Fire service personnel tended to the injured male rider and treated him until an attending ambulance arrived and transported the man to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car did not appear to be injured and although details are limited, the rider’s injuries did not appear life threatening. We will update with information as able.
Update [Jan 10]: A police spokesperson said, “Around 6:25pm on Wednesday, January 9th police and first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of St. David’s Road and Clarke’s Hill in St. George’s.
“It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along St. David’s Road and a car was exiting Clarke’s Hill when the vehicles collided at the junction.
“The motorcycle rider, a 31 year old St. George’s man was injured, taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later released. There were no other injuries reported; however both vehicles were damaged. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.”

Before the comments start, no he wasnt drinking… Car pulled out into his path… T-bone hit… Sitting waiting at hospital for xrays and scans…. Hes resting as comfortably as he can….
I used to live on Clarkes Hill and had many a close call at that entrance.Hope all goes well for your husband.

Sightlines at most intersections & gates are terrible. Combine that with inattention & this is what happens.

Notice the article said the accident happened just after 6 in St Davids. Did he travel all the way back to KEMH or was he taken to Lamb Foggo? according to bernews time stamp on your post its 9:03. Were you still waiting to xrays and scans 3 hours after the accident?
Article reads that he was taken to KEMH….
I have seen the car and it looks pretty bad so I am concerned about the bike riders speed.
