Man Reappears On Attempted Murder Charges

January 23, 2013

In Magistrates Court yesterday [Jan 22], Alan Robinson — who is currently on remand for attempted murder — appeared before Senior Magistrate Archie Warner.

Mr Robinson, 53, had been charged with the attempted murder of Vernica Tuckerm and was also charged with possessing a bladed article in a public place. The allegations relate to an incident that took place in Hamilton Parish on December 11, which left Ms Tucker in the ICU after sustaining stab wounds.

This was a mention appearance where papers were due to be served on Robinson and his legal counsel. However, the papers were not ready and Robinson was still unrepresented. Duty Counsel Oonagh Vaucrosson said that to date, the Legal Aid office had not received an application from Mr Robinson who has been held on remand since 24th December 2012.

Magistrate Warner remanded Robinson for a further seven days.
