Day #1: Cromwell Manders Junior Tournament
The Cromwell Manders Junior Tennis Tournament got underway at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium on Saturday [Feb 9]. Rain shortened the opening days play with only fourteen games completed.
Daniel Phillips defeated John White in straight sets 4 – 1, 4 – 1 in their Boy’s 10 Green Ball Quarter Final matchup, while Yontz Sutton defeated Amir Thomas in straight sets 6 – 3, 6 – 3 in their Boy’s 14 Singles Quarter-Final match.
David Leader defeated Andrew Blee in their Boy’s 14 Singles Quarter-Final match in straight sets 6 – 1, 6 – 0, while Andrew Phillips defeated Xavier Lee in straight sets 4 – 0, 5 – 3 in their Boys’ 8 Red Ball Round Robin match.
