Hogges Present Donation To Boulevard CC
The Boulevard Community Club was presented with a donation from the Directors of the Bermuda Hogges yesterday [Mar 6], to support the club’s commitment to the development of local soccer for the Central Pembroke Community. Boulevard Community Club recently acknowledged that the club has been experiencing challenges which have made it difficult to meet their financial commitments.
Dr. Lou Matthews, President of the Boulevard Community Club said, “We wish to thank Mr. Scope and the Bermuda Hogges. This donation from the Directors of the Hogges is a refreshing shot in the arm for the club and affirmation that we are slowly but surely moving in the right direction in refocusing on our community and the young men we impact.
“We will utilize the funds to support the finish of our campaign this year and the development of the young people. In recent weeks we have seen individuals like Paul Scope reach out in genuine partnership and support.
“We are grateful and will continue to forge ahead with the greater support of football and the community. We wish to encourage all of our players, supporters and the Central Pembroke community as we work to strengthen and support each other.”
Paul Scope, Director of the Bermuda Hogges commented: “On behalf of the Directors of the Bermuda Hogges we wish to assist Boulevard Community Club in completing their current season.
“We believe in and support their stance of establishing a platform for right minded young players who make responsible decisions and who can also contribute to a long-standing community club such as Boulevard C.C.
“Bermuda Hogges have always worked with the clubs that form the Bermuda Football Association and continue to select players from a wide variety of clubs including Boulevard C.C.. Players such as Tekhayi Walker and Quadir Maynard have given valuable service to the Hogges whilst being Boulevard players.”
Well done Mr. Scope!! Good to see money being put towards supporting our young men. Bless
Good lad Scopey, you are a gem. I hope your football team(s) stay up!
Nice comment about the directors, but once again Paul’s hand is in his pocket. Fantastic generosity, cheers Paul.
