Premier To Launch Autism Awareness Month

March 26, 2013

Premier Craig Cannonier will officially declare April 2 World Autism Awareness Day as Bermuda officially marks the beginning of Autism Awareness Month.

Bermuda Autism Support & Education [BASE] has organised the event, which will be held at the Cabinet Office at 11 a.m.

Since 2001 BASE has been dedicated to providing autism-related information, referral, advocacy, training, and support to families, professionals, and community members.

By increasing public awareness of autism, BASE helps to ensure that individuals on the autism spectrum are given opportunities and resources to achieve their full potential.
