Cardinals 0 vs Canaries 1

The game commenced with Cardinals playing with 10 on a very blustery and rainy morning. Lots of action by both Cardinals and Canaries with great passing skills.

Cardinals had to cover more ground for longer than usual with Candy Foggo putting in her usual excellent effort in defense and attack. Several crosses were made to find Canaries ‘keeper’ Tami Ray deny Cardinals chances to score. Action was mostly in Canaries half as this was the team that beat Cardinals a few weeks earlier of 4-0.

Cardinals scuffed at least 5 fantastic chances to score with the chance of winning this game had they been fitter and sharper, but with the lack of training lost in the 44th minute when Canaries’ Angie Alvarez was on the post to push in a field goal and the result ended 1-0 to the Canaries at the final whistle. Cardinals’ Zianna Rubaine had a great game as right defender.
