CADA Asks Community For Their Support
CADA said they are “seeing positive changes as a result of their work in the community” and they are requesting the community’s support to continue to bring about these changes.
CADA Chairman Anthony Santucci said, “The work CADA does in the community is making a difference – The percentage of youth reporting that they had tried alcohol showed a decrease in the 2011 youth survey compared to the survey done in 2007.
“In the 2007 survey, 67% of youth said they had tried alcohol, whereas in the 2011 survey, 55% said they had tried alcohol. This is a good downward trend, which we attribute to the work CADA does, and that we work to improve, but we are requesting the community’s help to continue to bring about these positive changes.
“CADA works with youth, parents and adults to create environments that are safer for all and to provide our young people with the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices. We do this through our Youth Program, TIPS, Let Us Drive and Community Awareness.
“There is however much important work still to be done and we are asking the community to please support this work by giving generously to CADA on our Tag Day, which is being held this Wednesday April 17th. The funds you give will be used to continue to bring about positive changes within our community. Thank you”
