“High Tea” To Mark Coronation Anniversary

April 15, 2013

Project Action will be marking the 60th anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation with a fundraising “High Tea” at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on June 9th under the Patronage of Governor Fergusson and Mrs. Margaret Fergusson.

The Master and Mistress of Ceremonies will be Mr. Robin Blackburne and Mrs. Judith Hall Bean, and Co-Chairpersons Mrs. Kimesha Butterfield and Mrs. Lisa Christopher will stage a fashion show.

“This is the third year these ladies have volunteered to help with Project Action’s ‘High Teas’ fundraisers and we are very proud of their growth in the third sector of volunteering, “ says chairperson Cindy Swan.

Project Action’s blue bus provides an invaluable socialization outlet for the shut-ins at home and many seniors. For some the outing on the blue bus may be their only trip outside their respective homes.

The ‘Red Bus’ , driven by Shuby DeGrilla, provides door to door transportation, such as doctor appointments, dialysis appointments and grocery shopping for transportation challenged Seniors and the Physically Challenged.

Though small in size, Project Action provide an enormous ‘free’ service for transportation challenged seniors and physically challenged. “Your contribution helps us to put a smile on a lonely senior’s face, and we thank you for caring” says Mrs. Rose Douglas.

Tickets go on sale April 27 online at www.bdatix.bm or can be purchased by calling the office 297-5044. If unable to support or attend, donations are graciously accepted and can be directly deposited to Project Action: BNTB: 20006060282255100 – Capital G: 4010045124 – HSBC: 010510543011.

  1. Congratulations says:

We attended both events and had a hoot of a time dressing up with our ‘Sunday best, hats and gloves’. The room was beautifully decorated, the Princess teas and sandwiches of all sorts of great foods were most delicious and the hat show, whoa was most beautiful. Looking forward to attend.

  2. In addition to tickets being sold at bdatix.com, Guilty Pleasures in the Washington Mall will be selling tickets. Please plan to get your tickets early.
