Van Smashes Into Wall On Harbour Road

[Updated] Earlier today [Apr 18] commuters faces traffic delays while emergency personnel attended to a collision on Harbour Road in Warwick, in which a van ended up smashed into a wall. The Fire Service and Police responded, temporarily restricting traffic while the vehicle was removed, and the smashed glass was cleaned up from the road.

Update Apr 19, 3.18pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 3:45pm on Thursday, April 18th police officers attended a reported single vehicle collision on Harbour Road in Warwick near the junction with Warwick Park Road.

“It appears that a van was being driven along Harbour Road when it collided with a wall. As a result, the vehicle ended up on its side. The driver, a 21 year old Southampton man, sustained minor arm injuries which did not require hospital treatment. There were no other injuries reported. The van was extensively damaged.

“Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the scene until the damaged vehicle was towed away. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Ashun Wolffe on 295-0011.”

    Those oversized SUV cuties can’t drive either. Pretty to look at in their big wheel buffed SUV trucks, but steer wide of them to avoid an accident cuz 90% of them can’t keep their trucks on their side of the road.
