Music Video: Buzby Releases “Groupie Love”
KaVon Busby, a 17-year-old up-and-coming performer who goes by the stage name Buzby, recently uploaded his new music video “Groupie Love” which hightlights his rapping skills — as well as some of the picturesque tourist spots in Dockyard.
Buzby told Bernews he has been rapping for four years now and recently visited a studio in Atlanta with his manger to “do a good bit of recording” for an upcoming mixtape.
“I featured on a hit song called ‘We Made It’ with fellow Bermudian performer Jelani and that got over 60,000 views on YouTube,” he said. “I dropped my very first mixtape called ‘Yesterday’s Tomorrow’ about two years and it got some very good feedback.
“I usually perform with Jelani and some of my close friends whot just rap just for a hobby and I’ve performed all around Bermuda.”
Buzby cited his father Kevin Busby and manager Shawn Perot as the two most important influences on his music. Canadian rappers Drake and the Weeknd are his favourite international artists.
The video and music were produced by Near Future Records.
