Video: Bermudian Model Reunited With Pet Lizard
Bermudian model Darius Dio — who resides in the US — made headlines after he was reunited with his pet lizard after the reptile was stolen along with his car from a downtown San Diego street over the weekend.
According to ABC 10 News, Dio parked his car and left his pet lizard, Drako, inside. He returned later to find that his car with Drako inside was gone. Dio said Drako is worth between $600 and $1,000, and told ABC, “He’s like my buddy. We go everywhere together.”

“I was devastated,” Dio said about finding his Lexus and Drako gone. However the situation ended well when the car was located, with Drako inside.
Dio told UT San Diego he has had the lizard since he was 2 weeks old and that he often takes Drako with him. The 1½ foot-long reptile sits on his shoulder, and when he drives, Drako sits in the sun on the car’s dashboard.
The 26-year-old model said he could tell Drako was glad to see him because the lizard was excited to get out of the car and it crawled right up his shoulder and embraced him. “He doesn’t wag his tail, but he hugged my neck,” Dio said.
