  1. mixed up says:

That poor wall has been taking a beating lately. I wonder what it did.

  2. Nuffin but da Truth says:

The walls in Bermuda are out of control.

(personally,I blame de plp and de biu).

    • Clive Spate says:

If it were up to the BIU the walls would be on strike.

      I blame the G8 leaders.

      • Nuffin but da Truth says:

I heard today it was Cameroon too!

  3. Family Man says:

    Distracted by the scenery?

  4. d.o. says:

someone got to get a grip. these walls are starting to be very naughty and just jumpping out into the road

  5. Hmm says:

Here’s a newsflash. If you can’t drive, take ya vehicle over to South Shore and stay there. Whether you think this applies to this story or not is your business! Too many wanna-be’s on Harbour Road period. …and most of the drivers are sober so that’s not always it!

    • Nuffin but da Truth says:

if that was to happen,South Shore would be blocked!
most of the car owners in Bermuda havn’t a clue about driving,
all they know is how to start the car, point and aim,gun the gas and pump up de volume!

  6. JUST A SUGGESTION says:

What does the wall jumping out in the road have to do with political and or unions??

None drivers should take the ferry and bus or slow down on the roads. Cars get dumped at the other end of the island mate!!

    Glad u r ok!

  7. Triangle Drifter says:

A collision? You mean the crashing of two moving objects? How fast was that wall going? Something really needs to be done about these walls & utility poles that keep jumping out & colliding with unsuspecting motorists.

  8. Mr. Happy says:

    From Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary:
Collide – to come together with solid or direct impact

A “collision” can be the act of hitting a wall.

    Carry on.

    • Rule # 5 says:

I was thinking about correcting Triangle Drifter as well but was more amused that you took the time to do it!

  9. Jury says:

As the Bermuda stone walls and wooden guard rails are full of character and have been part of the Island’s structure for properties and public road for hundreds of years. A simple solution will be for the government engineers to invest in steel guard rails to replace the old Bermuda walls and we will see how many accidents occur. As the only maintenance that will be carried out is that of the owners for their own vehicles. Dents, scratches etc.

  10. Rule # 5 says:

Like I said in another accident report – $5,000 mandatory minimum fine for all accidents NOT PROVEN to be the result of a mechanical failure.

This and only measures similar to this will clean up the driving here. If I remember correctly this accident occured when the roads were slick just after a downpour – c;mon people we should all know that is when it is most dangerous to speed.
