Bermuda Pacers Win 19 Flying Angels Medals

The Bermuda Pacers athletes continue the island’s medal streak, collecting a total of 19 medals during the Flying Angels International Classic in Toronto. The team captured a total of 10 golds, 6 silvers and 3 bronze.

Jahstice Grant captured a Gold Medal in the 7 – 8 Girls 100 Meter Dash clocking a time of 15.34, Kiyare Talbot-Minors finished 5th with a time of 16.88.

Grant then won a Silver Medal in the 7 – 8 Girls 400 Meter Dash crossing the line second in a time of 1:25.60, Talbot-Minors finished 4th clocking 1:34.06.

Za ‘Kayza Parsons’ time of 13.81 saw her capture the 9 – 10 Girls 100 Meter Dash Gold Medal, while Ciara Johnson finished 7th with a time of 14.57. Parsons’ captured her second Gold Medal when she won the 9 – 10 Girls 200 Meter Dash with a time of 28.60, while Johnson finished 5th clocking 30.39.

Tesyah-Mahle Astwood finished 4th in the 9 – 10 Girls 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:14.98, Astwood then won a Silver Medal during the 9 – 10 Girls 800 Meter Dash clocking a time of 2:53.84.

Astwood was not done as she captured a Gold Medal in the 9 – 10 Girls 1500 Meter race clocking a time of 5:54.15, while Kimora Rubaine won a Silver Medal during the same race finishing with a time of 5:57.44.

Parsons’ won the 9 – 10 Girls Long Jump Gold Medal with a leap of 4:10m, during the 9 – 10 Girls 100 Meter Dash Ice’ces Jackson finished 17th clocking a time of 14.73, while Kazaya Sealy finished 18th clocking 14.87 and Makeysi Wilson-Deshield finished 19th with a time of 14.89.

The 11 – 12 Girls 200 Meter Dash race saw Wilson-Deshield finish 16th with a time of 30.81, Sealy finished in 17th clocking 30.83 and finishing 18th was Jackson with a time of 31.22. Makayla Tucker finished 19th with time of 31.26, while Thandiewe Stovell finished 25th with a time of 32.18.

Tucker finished 5th in the 11 – 12 Girls 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:12.85, Stovell finished 8th with a time of 1:14.64.

The Bermuda Pacers 11 – 12 Girls 4×100 Meter Relay team finished 4th with a time of 59.54, while Tucker finished 9th in the 11 – 12 Girls Long Jump with a top leap of 3.90m.

Syriah Lottimore finished 14th in the 13 – 14 Girls 100 Meter Dash with a time of 13.43, she then finished 4th in the 13 – 14 Girls 800 Meter Dash clocking 2:35.32. Lottimore leaped 4.47m during the 13 – 14 Girls Long Jump finishing 4th.

Rachel Fox won the Bronze Medal during the Women’s 400 Meter Dash Open clocking a time of 1:01.94, she then won the Gold Medal during the Women’s 800 Meter Run Open clocking 2:25.65.

Clevonte Lodge-Bean finished 9th in the 11 – 12 Boys 100 Meter Dash clocking a time of 14.15, he then finished 7th in the 11 – 12 Boys 200 Meter Dash, Zakiyah Lee finished 10th clocking a time of 29.29.

Sajan Harvey won a Silver Medal in the 11 – 12 Boys 400 Meter event with a time of 1:04.19, Harvey then won the Gold Medal in the 11 – 12 Boys 800 Meter race and Jayden Ming won the Silver Medal. Harvey recorded a time of 2:23.53 and Ming clocked 2:24.87.

Harvey won his third Medal when he captured the Bronze Medal during the 11 – 12 Boys 1500 Meter race clocking a time of 4:55.54, while Ming finished 6th with a time of 5:02.39.

Lee, finished the 11 – 12 Boys Long Jump in 5th place with a top leap of 4.29m.

Jahmari Sutton won a Bronze Medal during the 15 – 16 Boys 800 Meter race with a time of 2:08.57, Sutton then won the Gold Medal during the 15 – 16 Boys 1500 Meter race clocking 4:30.28.

Sutton next won a Silver Medal in the Boys 15 – 16 Long Jump event leaping 6.04m, Juma Mouchette won the Men’s 800 Meter Open Gold Medal clocking a time of 2:01.59. Mouchette also won Gold during the Men 1500 Meter Run Open clocking a time of 4:11.78, Mouchette closed out winning the Men 3000 Meter Run Open Gold Medal with a time of 9:24.01.
