Dexter Basden Named Sportsman Of Week
Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] and Chivas Regal announced the winner of the weekly Chivas Cricket Sportsman Award [CCSA]. The BCB confirmed that the winner of the award for this week is Dexter Basden.
A spokesperson said, “Former international, Dexter Basden, continues to play a key leadership role at his club Willow Cuts. On the field he demonstrates good skills in a sporting manner and works hard to encourage his team-mates to play the game with the utmost of respect. He plays a significant role in the Willow Cuts youth program including coaching children and assisting with fund raising efforts.
“Dexter is always available to assist in any grounds-work and last weekend spend extra time assisting the grounds-men in preparing the wicket after rain interruptions. In a rain affected game he responsibly implemented the regulations in a fair and consistent manner.”
