Man Charged With Threatening His Wife

July 2, 2013

Edward Robinson, 39, appeared in Magistrates Court today [July 2] on charges that he used electronic methods of communication to intimidate another person saying. “I’m going to kill you. If I see you in Bermuda, you’re f****** dead. I’ll f*** you up.”

Prosecutor Susan Mulligan told Senior Magistrate Archie Warner that at the time, Mr Robinson was married to the complainant who was from the Dominican Republic. She had gone to Canada, and in May 2013 she received the messages while she was in Canada.

The Senior Magistrate queried jurisdiction given that the complainant was in one jurisdiction while the defendant was in another.

After a short discussion on legal points, the Magistrate said that he would enter a plea of not guilty and would send the matter for trial. The trial was set for August and Mr Robinson was granted $2,000 bail to reappear on that date.

  1. I could be wrong but I do believe there needs to be a correction with the first name of this young man and I do apologize if I am wrong, either way I don’t have an opinion on the actual story because there sounds like it is more to the story then what is being said.

without getting specific (I don’t know this couple) when you bies go down south looking 4 kitty kat, you’re making life hard 4 yurself when you decide to bring the kitty kat home. Those tamalies don’t set well in bermuda soil, jus leave them down south in their own soil, it is what it is and they are who they are….can’t expect a spanish rose to grow in BDA soil…..BDA soil isn’t ‘rich’ enough to feed that rose and keep it thriving……go figure
