Bermuda Sand Sculpture Contest This Saturday
The end of summer is fast approaching as is the 18th Annual Bermuda Sand Sculpture competition. This event will take place this Saturday 31st August at Horseshoe Bay from 10am to 4pm and entries are arriving daily, however more entries are welcome.
There is a category for everyone and one can enter up to 6 people for each sand sculpture. The categories are Family, Children 12 and under, Teenagers 13-19 years, Open/adults/Organisations and Tourisst. To enter send the category one is entering in with the names of the sand sculpture builders to secure one’s plot to the address bellow.
Only the first 40 will have mounds of sand. The plots are 12′x12′ and building is time from 10am to 4pm with judging taking place thereafter and prize giving around 5 pm. There are many prizes to win with cash prizes up to $500.
Just to help those who have forgotten how to build Sand Sculptures or if one wants to hear tips on how to improve one techniques there will be a free sand sculpture tips and technique workshop from 6pm-7:30pm Thursday 29th August and 30th August at Horseshoe Bay.
