Nahki Wells Has Scored For Last Seven Games

August 20, 2013

Bermudian striker Nahki Wells will write himself into the Bradford City record books if he scores again in his next game against Sheffield United.

“The striker is on a red-hot streak of scoring in each of his last seven games – a feat that has been previously achieved only twice before in club history,” the Telegraph & Argus reports.

“Wells is the first to do it in 51 years since David Layne at the end of the 1962 season. John McCole had managed a similar run three years earlier.”

The 23-year-old Bermudian lead Bradford with 26 goals last season, and set an aim of 30 goals this season following Bradford’s promotion to a higher league.

According to the SkySports stats, Wells is jointly in first position in the League One goal scorers table with 3 goals so far this season.
