August 16, 2013

Over 35 competitors are expected to take the stage as the Bermuda Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation hosts the 26th Annual Night of Champions on Saturday [Aug 17] at the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium.

With a mix of new and veteran competitors, the lineup is one of the biggest Night of Champions in recent years. Many of the competitors are said to be in phenomenal shape, and the large number of entrants is generating a lot of buzz and excitement around tomorrow’s event.

Divisions to be contested including bodybuilding, figure, fitness, physique as well as the new bikini class. Bodybuilding is judged more on muscle mass and conditioning, while the figure and physique divisions are judged more on aesthetics.

BBFF President Candy-Lee Foggo said many of the defending champions from last year will be back to defend their titles.

Prejudging will start at 10am [admission $20], and the night show will start at 7pm [$50 in advance and $60 at door]. Tickets are available at Sea View, Magnum, Olympic Club, Positive Results and International Sports Shop.

Competitors will be vying for a spot on Team Bermuda which will be competing in the IFBB Central American & Caribbean Championships [CAC] in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in September.
