#TouristTuesdayBda To Tour Pink Cocktails

August 30, 2013

more-pinkAfter gaining some traction around the island, the #TouristTuesdayBda group will be taking a step up in their attempt to gain exposure for local Bermudian businesses as they take part in the More Pink Competition.

The #TouristTuesdayBda group consists of three island residents who spend each Tuesday pretending to be tourists as they sample local food, drink, and activities, while allowing those on the web to follow their adventures via their Facebook page and Instagram page.

With a bit of recognition for the group of would-be tourists under their belts, the group behind the More Pink Cocktail Competition have asked them to take part in the festivities by judging their pink cocktail competition and live blogging the event as one of their weekly adventures.

This latest #TouristTuesdayBda outing will take place on Friday, August 30, starting at 6 PM at the Devonshire Recreation Club before weaving its way through the streets of Hamilton in order to sample the many pink cocktails on offer. The journey will continue the next day as the group performs the same duties at establishments outside of town.

Those wanting to follow the action via social media can do so by using the #morepinkpubcrawl hashtag on the social network of their choice.

The More Pink movement was started by the Bermuda Tourism Board’s Tourism Appreciation Committee, who said they “wanted to create a sense of pride and community in our residents.” Intended as a grass roots social movement, the efforts aim to increase awareness and patronage of local Bermudian businesses, empowering everyone, local and tourist alike, to be more Bermudian than ever before.
