BFA First & Premier Football Division Results
This past weekend a number of football matches took place in the First Division and Premier Division, with Young Men Social Club, St. George’s Colts, Devonshire Colts, North Village Rams, Hamilton Parish and Dandy Town Hornets all recording wins.
First Division
Young Men Social Club 2 Paget Lions 1
After a scoreless first half at the Bernard Park, a mistake by the Paget Lions goalkeeper allowed Giovanni Saltus the chance to score in the 55th minute from close range and give Young Men Social Club the lead. That lead was sic minutes later when a harmless cross was somehow mishandled and ended up in the back of the net, Paget Lions got on the scoresheet when Jahni Beach scored in the 89th minute.
St. George’s Colts 3 BAA 2
At the Wellington Oval, this match saw five goals scored with the St. George’s Colts getting single strikes from Tre Govia, Jelani Carlington and Jarazinho Bassett as they defeated visiting BAA 3 – 2. The visitors got single strikes from Diego McCallan and Jaylon Bather.
Devonshire Colts 3 Ireland Rangers 1
At the Police Field, the Devonshire Colts got two goals from Matthew Gerardo and a single strike from Kyle Jones as they defeated Ireland Rangers 3 – 1. Tahj Wade converted from the penalty spot for the visitors.
X’Road’s 1 Somerset Eagles 1
At the Garrison Field, Darin Dowling gave the Somerset Eagles the lead in the 15th minute, but Tristan Daniels equalized for X’Road’s in the 70th minute as the two teams shared the points.
Premier Division
North Village Rams 4 Flanagan’s Onion’s 1
At the Bernard’s Park, Jason Lee gave the North Village Rams the lead in the 17th minute when he scored from inside the box, Jahquan Smith-Deshields, doubled the North Village Rams lead in the 46th minute, one minute later Lee scored his second goal of the game to make it 3 – 0, before Flanagan’s onion’s pulled a goal back through substitute Kevin Ronaldson in the 69th minute, but in the 83rd minute lee completed his hat-trick to give the North Village Rams the 4 – 1 win.
Hamilton Parish 1 Wolves 0
After a scoreless first half at the Wellington Oval, Ian Coke struck midway through the second period to earn Hamilton Parish a 1 – 0 win over visiting Wolves.
PHC Zebras 1 Dandy Town Hornets 3
At the Southampton Oval, Fabian Frankson gave the visiting Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 16th minute, Frankson doubled the lead with his second goal of the game in the 62nd minute. Ryan Tyrell put the visitors ahead 3 – 0 when he scored in the 80th minute only for Malachi Jones to pull a goal back for the PHC Zebras three minutes later as the Dandy Town Hornets came away with a 3 – 1 victory.
Devonshire Cougars 2 Southampton Rangers 2
At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the home team Devonshire Cougars got goals from Kwame Steede and Kijuan Franks, while visitors Southampton Rangers got goals from Janeiro Tucker and Vernon Perinchief as the two teams shared the points.
