BFA First & Premier Football Division Results
This past weekend a number of football matches took place in the First Division and Premier Division, with St. George’s Colts, Robin Hood, Ireland Rangers, Boulevard Blazers, Hamilton Parish, Southampton Rangers, Wolves all recording wins.
First Division
St. George’s Colts 1 Somerset Eagles 0
After a scoreless first half at the Wellington Oval, Jarazinho Bassett scored the only goal of the game as the St. George’s Colts defeated the Somerset Eagles 1 – 0.
Paget Lions 0 Robin Hood 8
At the Southampton Oval, Jesse Kirkland scored a hat-trick to lead Robin Hood to a 8 – 0 victory over the Paget Lions. Gary Adams added two goals, while Shawn Brown, Joshua Crockwell and Joell Duffy all added a goal each.
Ireland Rangers 1 Young men Social Club 0
After a scoreless first half at Malabar, Tahj Wade scored for Ireland Rangers as they defeated the Young men Social Club 1 – 0.
Boulevard Blazers 3 X’Road’s 3
At the Police Field, the Boulevard Blazers and X’Road’s played to a 3 – 3 draw, Boulevard got single goals from Antoine Famous, Aldonte Smith and Dunn-ya Taylor, while Damali Bell, Kyhon Smith and Tristan Daniels scored a goal each for X’Road’s.
Premier Division
Dandy Town Hornets 2 North Village Rams 2
The North Village Rams jumped out to a 2 – 0 first half lead at the St. John’s Field, but the home team Dandy Town Hornets fought back to end the match in a draw 2 – 2. Keishen Bean and Jemeiko Jennings scored for the visitors, while Ryan Tyrell and Zaire Burchall scored for the home team.
Hamilton Parish 5 Somerset Trojans 1
Patrick Richardson gave Hamilton Parish the lead in their return to the Premier Division in the 20th minute at the Wellington Oval. Leo Burgess drew the Somerset Trojans level when he scored in the 28th minute, Shayne Hollis put Hamilton Parish back in front one minute later, Donovan Thompson put Hamilton Parish up 3 – 1 with a goal in the 54th minute, before Hollis made it 4 – 1 with his second goal of the game in the 59th minute. Hollis completed his hat-trick with a goal in the 77th minute as Hamilton Parish defeated the Somerset Trojans 5 – 1.
Southampton Rangers 5 St. David’s 0
At the Southampton Oval, Ezekiel Stoneham recorded a hat-trick as St. David’s had a nightmare start to their Premier Division return going down 5 – 0, Dion Stovell and Jahkai Dyer added a goal each.
Wolves 3 PHC Zebras 0
After a scoreless first half at the Devonshire Rec. Vincent Minors Jr. gave Wolves the lead in the 48th minute, Shakai Pearman doubled the lead in the 63rd minute and then Alleyne Francis made it 3 – 0 in the 90th minute as Wolves defeated the PHC Zebras.
