Six Bermuda Triathletes Compete In London

Six Bermuda athletes took to the PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final London Course on day three of the ITU World Championships Series at Hyde Park in London, England.

Competing in the Sprint Distance Age Group World Championships were Neil De St Croix, Matthew Claridge, Maria and Charles Duffy, Carolyn Conway and Steven Petty.

De St Croix finished 363rd overall and 33 in the Men’s 45 Age Group after he crossed the line in a time of 1:13.07. De St Croix was out of the water in a time of 13.03, he then clocked a time of 35:20 on the Bike Course and then 18:33 on the Run Course.

Claridge finished 610th and 87th in the Men’s 30 Age Group with a time of 1:18.02. Claridge clocked 13.43 during the Swim, 36.51 on the Bike Course and 20.41 on the Run Course.

Maria Duffy finished 626th overall and 19th in the Women’s 60 Age Group, Duffy completed the course in a time of 1:37.40, she completed the swim in a time of 16:50, before clocking a time of 48:12 on the Bike Course and then recorded a time of 23:28 on the Run Course.

Conway clocked a time of 1:47.23 finishing 703rd overall and 51st in the Women’s 55 Age Group Division. Conway clocked 17:47 during the Swim, 54.29 on the Bike Course and then clocked 25.59 on the Run Course.

Clocking a time of 1:27.53 saw Petty finish 884th overall and 41st in the Men’s 60 Age Group. Petty clocked 13:34 during the Swim, 41.50 on the Bike Course and 24.13 on the Run Course.

Charles Duffy’s time of 1:28.24 saw him finish 892nd overall and 44th in the Men’s 60 Age Group, Duffy was out of the water in a time of 15:04, he then recorded a time of 43:00 on the Bike Course and then clocked 21:41 on the Run Course.
