Tokio Millennium Re Donates $10,000 To BFIS
The Bermuda Foundation For Insurance Studies [BFIS] has received a third donation of $10,000 from reinsurer Tokio Millennium Re.
BFIS Chairman, Michael Fisher thanked Tatsuhiko Hoshina, President and CEO of Tokio Millennium Re, saying “The continuing support fromour donors is very important to BFIS as it underscores that insurance companies based in Bermuda understand the importance of what BFIS does. Donations help us to maintain the level of our scholarship awards, as well as supporting our career guidance, internship, mentor networking and job search programmes.”

Mr. Hoshina responded “The Donations Committee at Tokio Millennium Re is committed to supporting programmes in Bermuda focused on youth and education and we believe that BFIS offers great opportunities to young Bermudians wishing to continue their education.
“In addition to providing scholarship funds, a number of our staff also act as mentors to BFIS University Scholars. Tokio Millennium Re also hosted the 2013 summer interns for an educational and insightful afternoon in May and is always delighted to welcome former graduates of the scholarship programmes and internships, eitheras summer students or as full time employees post-graduation.”
