Town Hall Meeting For American Citizens
U.S. Consul General Bob Settje will host his second 2013 town hall meeting for American citizens on Thursday [Sept 19], from 5.30-7.30pm, at his official residence, Cedarhurst, 33 Wilkinson Avenue, Hamilton Parish.
A spokesperson said, “The meeting is for American citizens age 18 and over. For space reasons, attendance will be limited to the first 100 American citizens who register online at the U.S. Consulate website.
“Those first 100 registered Americans will receive notice that a space has been reserved for them. Several days prior to the meeting they will be asked to confirm their attendance. Registrants not among the first 100 will be put on a wait list and notified should space become available.
“The Consulate General wishes to give as many Americans as possible the opportunity to attend its town hall meetings. Therefore, the names of those who confirmed their attendance for the April 2013 town hall meeting will be placed at the bottom of the registration list for the September 19 meeting, regardless of whether they attended the April meeting.
“To gain admittance to the town hall meeting, each attendee will be required to show his/her U.S. passport.
“The meeting will provide an opportunity to get to know Consul General Settje and other Consulate officers and to ask questions. The Consul General looks forward to welcoming his fellow citizens to his home.”
