BUEI To Host Second BBC Documentary Talk
The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] is inviting locals to take part in the second talk given by BBC producer Hugh Pearson, the man behind such award-winning BBC documentaries as Africa and Nature’s Great Events.
Mr Pearson will be offering a behind-the-scenes look at his extraordinary work on those famous documentaries and more, providing insight on and stories about their filming that only he possesses.
Hugh Pearson is driven by a desire to produce world class films about the natural world. For 18 years, Mr Pearson worked at the renowned BBC Natural History Unit on BAFTA and Emmy award winning programmes such as Africa, The Blue Planet, Big Cat Diary, Coast, and Nature’s Great Events.
His particular specialty is filming in the world’s oceans; he has over two decades of experience in working on and under the sea and is passionate about marine life.
Mr Pearson is currently in Bermuda filming a segment for the upcoming BBC Documentary The Hunt with LookBermuda. The Hunt is a landmark wildlife series exploring the dramatic relationship between predators and prey and will be broadcast around the world in October 2015.

The event will take place on October 25 at at BUEI, with happy hour drinks available at 6pm at Harbourfront, the doors opening at 6.45pm, and the talk itself beginning at 7pm.
