Video: Cyclists Return Home With Three Medals
Zoenique Williams and Nicole Mitchell returned home this evening [Oct 21] after capturing three medals at the Caribbean Cycling Championships in Curacao.
Zoenique Williams won silver, while Nicole Mitchell picked up two bronze medals at the Championships, which saw 110 cyclists from 20 countries and territories are take part. Dominique Mayho, Darren Glasford, and Shannon Lawrence also represented Bermuda.
Minister of Community, Culture and Sports Wayne Scott said, “On behalf of the Government of Bermuda, I am happy to extend our congratulations to Nicole and Zoenique for their exceptional performances at the Caribbean Cycling Championship. We applaud their success; they have made Bermuda very proud.”
Shadow Minister for Community, Cultural Development and Sports Michael Weeks said, “The PLP joins with Bermudians and residents in celebrating our cycling medalists in Curacao. We commend them for their achievements, congratulate them for the impeccable way they have represented Bermuda on the world stage and encourage their future success.”
