Public Safety Minister & MPs Visit St. George’s
Minister of Public Safety Michael Dunkley yesterday [Oct 24] did a walk-a-bout in St. George’s with Bermuda Police Service officer PC Litanya Smith and two OBA MPs.
Minister Dunkley toured the St. George’s Police Station and walked around the Towne, greeting shop owners and residents. Area MPs Kenneth Bascome and Nandi Outerbridge, along with Chief Inspector Tracey Adams, also accompanied the Minister on the visit.
Minister Dunkley said, “I wanted to hear firsthand from some of the people in the Town of St. George’s how things are going from a public safety perspective. PC Smith has made a tremendous difference in the Town and has obviously built strong relationships with everyone here.
“It was also good to see so many tourists in St. George, most of whom had come from the ship in Dockyard. The Police Station is open and functioning and although it’s mainly tourists who pop in, the feedback I received on safety and security in the Town of St. George’s was positive.
“This Government is committed to doing all that we can to renew the Town of St. George’s and it is important that people know that I and my colleagues are accessible and available to them.”

to keep Kenny happy and try to keep voters happy…wether that will wash with the voters is another story!

Playing politics at best..secure the votes now. Political strategy at work. Really Kenny stop it, your not happy with your OBAubp party, why not just stop playing the game with them, and stand firm. Nana Mess up big time, this is just a walk about to bring folks back on board…. REALLY …it is likely Kenny has threated the OBAubp to do something or he would walk,…he is known for his constant begging to them.

I’ll keep saying that St. George’s is the part of the island that needs to be looked at as far as tourist go. It has so much to offer, but needs so much more….Bermuda. Think about it.
