BHF Results: Men’s & Women’s Hockey League
In the Women’s match for Friday evening at 6:30pm Bluebirds played against Wildcats B and the final ccore was 3-1 to Bluebirds. Bluebirds’ Lauren Patterson scored a field goal in the 7th min, and Jill Finnigan a field goal in the 21st min with the 1st half ending.
Wildcats’ Cerepha Bridgeman scored a field goal 4 mins into the 2nd half in the 39th min. Bluebirds’ Kourtney Fassler scored a field goal in the 57th min and Bluebirds came away as the winners with the score of 3-1.
In the Women’s League for Saturday Ravens A played Budgies A where the final score was 0-1 to Budgies A Budgies’ Keishea Robinson executed a penalty corner in the 52nd min.
In another match between Swallows B and Canaries B the final score was 2-3 to Canaries B. Canaries’ Marie Taylor scored field goals in the 31st minute of the 1st half and in the 66th min of the 2nd half. Another field goal by Erica Frith in the 55th min of the 2nd half to make the score 3-0 to Canaries.
Swallows’ Kelli Nusum executed a penalty stroke 2 mins before the end of play in the 68th min, but with Liz Stewart converting a penalty corner in the 69th min it wasn’t enough to tie the game and Canaries were the winners with the score of 3-2.
And in the third match between Ravens B vs Budgies B the final Score was 1-2 to Budgies. Ravens’ Megan Troake caught a sleepy Budgies’ defense by scoring her first field goal in the 1st min and the lst half was 1-0 to Ravens.
Budgies’ Tse Minors executed a penalty corner 2 mins into the 2nd half in the 37th min and Kaitlin Miller scoring a field goal in the 53rd min and Budgies were the winners of 2-1.
In the Men’s League for Sunday the only match was between Polecats and Upstarts, where the Final Score is 3-1 to Polecats. Polecats’ Joshua Thompson scored a field goal in the 12th min and the 1st half was 1-0 to Polecats.
Upstarts’ Donnie Moniz scored a field goal 3 mins into the 2nd half in the 38th min. Polecats’ Andrew Brouwer executed a penalty corner in the 46th min, and Donnie Simmons a penalty corner in the 59th min and Polecats secured the win of 3-1.
