The police continue to appeal for witnesses to last night’s armed robbery, which saw three men armed with a gun and knives rob the Raynor’s Gas Station in Southampton.

A police spokesperson said, “Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the reported armed robbery that occurred around 8:40pm Monday, November 4th at Raynor’s Gas Station on Middle Road in Southampton where three unknown men gained entry into the premises.

“One of the men brandished what appeared to be a firearm while the other two men apparently brandished bladed articles. The three offenders were described as wearing dark coloured clothing and motorcycle helmets.

“A small quantity of cash was taken before the trio made good their escape in the area. There were no reported injuries.

“Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with any information regarding this reported armed robbery is encouraged to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.”

publish the CCTV maybe someone just might see something that would help catch the little bas*a**s, then give them a one way non return trip to Russia’s famous Black Dolphin prison with the 50.00 ( that was mentioned as being proceeds of the crime) stapled to their a**

  2. Watcher55 says:

25 murders, and this makes as many armed robberies since 2007 it’s time to fire all the BPS top dogs, they are doing a really bad job, guy at the top, it’s your time to step aside and give someone the chance to get our Country back on track, you give yourself medals, lots of praise and a hefty salary and pension and your productivity is awful

  3. Y-Gurl says:

These guys are not paying attention to the cops, they laugh at them online and they know the chances of getting caught are slim to none, let’s bring in a gang squad who are not second rate cops but hard, driven and focused on the job.

  4. swing voter says:

The Raynors worked hard to keep that place going….sacrificed to make that business successful. Unlike some bigger players, I can never ever recall Raynors running dry. And this is the way our children repay hard working Bermudians…..yes we know who it was…OUR CHILDREN!!!!

  5. Kangoocar says:

It is high time we adopt the Singapore way of justice!!! If you get caught stealing or robbing you lose a hand!! Which simply means 2 strikes and you can never conduct yourself that way again!! I think most would never be a problem again after they lost one of their hands!!!!!

  6. cant fool me says:

Well its gonna b some more robberies if this current BS continues employers payn locals little to none, guest worker stays employed during layoff times prices for goods go up everyday………

    • Kangoocar says:

Strange name for somebody that actually has been fooled?? The plp are the ones that brought in these guest workers you seem to think are staying employed!!,being the OBA have been in power for ten months and the usual contract is for a minimum of a year, do I have to repeat who brought them here when our economy was already in the toilet??? Why don’t you vent your disgust at the real culprits??? Being you obviously are a plp supporter, I will put you in the rite direction, and that would be the plp!!!!!

Saw 3 white guys in a car looked suspect….oh wait that was the english cops.. they got lost on their way to work

  8. Bermy Yout says:

When you go asking for witnesses, you’re putting people’s lives at danger.
If someone saw the perpetrator, then there’s a decent chance that this gunman saw the witness as well..
If the gunman expects the witness to come forward with his identity/description.. passa

    • real deal says:

You sound like you’re trying to scare someone.
You would not happen to be one of the robbers would you?

    • bullett says:

what about crime stoppers dopy, not known and get a reward.

  9. Our people are suffering out here. That is the problem!!! The OBA needs to get our economy back to where it needs to be before it gets any worse because they are the ones that are getting paid and taking trips while we Bermudians are out here wondering where our next meal is coming from. Im just being honest. If people were eating good then the gun violence would ease up alot…..

    • swing voter says:

do you really believe those guys rob because they can’t find a job?
      Really?

    • Graham says:

Do you remember the road that brought us here? People were eating well 6 years ago when the violence was the highest.

  10. Miguelito says:

Let me get this straight…you actually think these three guys held up the gas station because they weren’t eating well? Hmmmm. I don’t think wielding a knife or a gun is the best way to find a meal. And at Bermy Yout…If you know something about anyone committing a crime like this, speak up or it WILL get worse, son. Just do the right thing.

  11. Tony Brannon says:

Bermuda lost 5000 work permits……When people go, the economic engine dries up…..
Ask yourself WHO told people “we don’t care what you people think”.
Ask yourselves who put in term limits ?

Then see how many Offshore Companies quietly said SCREW THIS….if that’s how you want to treat us we will go elsewhere ….
Bermuda created the mess by resentful politicians on a payback mission that has had the effect of making all Bermudians suffer. The ones that suffer the most are the poor. We need 10,000 new workers in Bermuda, we need to OPEN Bermuda up, welcome investors. FAILURE to do this will see way more robberies as people get desperate…….it is 101 Economics……which the politicians of Bermuda have totally screwed up with their small minded thinking, lack of vision and planning in everything from TOURISM to INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS. Bermuda created this mess, and only Bermudians can fix it.

  12. Bermy Yout says:

    Yes Tony,
We’ve been taken down a strange road.. pretending that the economy isnt top down..
unfortunately some from the middle had a lot of rising to do to get to the top, so on their way the bottom had to drop..
Personally, I think those at the top just need to make as much as they can,, and let it trickle down..
.. but the balance between private and public sectors must remain fair and be dealt with very publicly.. i.e Buses and Trash Disposal
we need more post- secondary education on the island.. fight back on this systematic sending off of our top scholars.. allow for Bermudians to be educated locally and according to the job demands; and allow for internships..
and finally give people with alot of disposable income something to do with their money other than drink; and get some more minimum wage type labor jobs in the economy.
