Weekend Rugby Results: Ladies, Men’s Division
Both men’s and women’s rugby matches took place at the National Sports Center this weekend. In the Ladies division Police and Mariners both claimed victories, and in the Men’s Division Police and Renegades won their matches.
Ladies Division: Police 4 Teachers 2
Joanna Hickley scored two tries for the Police Ladies in their 4 – 2 win over the Teachers Ladies. Lauren Wilson and Janie Nel both added a try each for the Police Ladies. Sally Cann and Sophie Lagahiere both scored a Try each for the Teachers Ladies.
Ladies Division: Mariners 1 Renegades 0
The Mariners Ladies got a lone try from Deneka Borden as they defeated the Renegades Ladies 1 – 0.
Men’s Division: Police 17 Teachers 6
The Police defeated the Teachers in a top of the table clash 17 – 6. Paul Davis, Jonny Sykes and Paul Canfield all scored a try each for the Police, while Tommy Edwards kicked 1 conversion. Tom Greggs kicked 2 penalties for the Teachers.
Men’s Division: Renegades 31 Mariners 0
The Renegades defeated the Mariners 31 – 0 in the other Men’s Division game. Rich Cumbers, Xavier James, Peter Dunkerley, Bennet Gibson and Kehano Bean all scored a try each for the Renegades, while Cumbers kicked 2 conversions and 1 penalty.
