Eastern University Begin Hockey Tour With A Win

Eastern University began their hockey tour of Bermuda pulling out a win with a goal in the final minute against the Bermuda Women’s National Team.

Eastern University went in front in the 13th minute when Jess Kinzler scored a Field Goal, but Maya Palacio equalized for the Bermuda National Team one minute later when she scored a Field Goal. Sarah Webb put Eastern University back in front in the 28th minute when she scored a Penalty Stroke as they took a 2 – 1 lead into the break.

In the 43rd minute Lauren Gay scored a Field Goal for Eastern University to extend their lead to 3 – 1, but Palacio would pull Bermuda within one when she scored her second Field Goal of the game in the 50th minute and when Marcia Ford scored from a Penalty Stroke in the 67th minute Bermuda and Eastern University were level at 3 – 3, but two minutes later Eastern University won a Penalty Stroke which was converted by Alexa Borelli to earn Eastern University a 4 – 3 win.
