Slideshow: Kitesurfers At Horseshoe Bay Beach
Yesterday’s [Jan 12] inclement weather may have kept some people indoors, but others rushed out to take advantage of the winds, a few headed for the beach to take advantage of the high winds, with kite surfers seen at Horseshoe Bay Beach.
The weather conditions are a result of a cold front passing out way, with the Bermuda Weather Service saying: “A new high will build over Bermuda today and then move northeast, with fair weather through midweek.
“Light winds today will increase moderate Tuesday and Wednesday, while gradually veering southerly. Winds become strong again Thursday, with gale-force gusts in developing showers as another cold front advances our way.”

I scratch my head when I hear people whine that there is nothing to do in Bermuda but sit on a wall. This is great stuff for the adrenalin junkies.
Ok, we as a country should recognize the natural beauty, the inherent environment, and embrace all that we have been blessed with. Tourism tourism, tourism. From January thru March we should be knee deep in the sand hosting competitions for this an similar sports. We experience inclement conditions every year at this time.
No matter how skilled they are, just wish they would wear helmets. Wind and waves are unpredictable entities.
