Photos & Video: Cup Match At Horseshoe Bay

August 1, 2019

[Updated with video] While many people made their way to the east end to enjoy the always popular Somerset vs St George’s cricket match, some people also made their way to Horseshoe Bay Beach today [Aug 1] to celebrate Cup Match, spending the day relaxing and socializing on one of the island’s most popular beaches, and you can see a bird’s eye view of that below. 1. Stinky D says:

You Can’t Celebrate Cupmatch at the Beach. Cupmatch is the Cricket Game where we play for the Cup.
    We Celebrate Emancipation

    • I'm just saying says:

      Nonsense!

    • bermyting says:

LOL you can celebrate cupmatch anywhere on the island, (not just going to the cricket game is the act that can only be celebrated)
let me guess, you probably didnt watch a single wicket or the cricket
Stinky D. I bet ya got one at home right now in your AC (and not at the game)

    • PBanks says:

True, it’s not so much celebrating Cup Match as enjoying a day at the beach. Good call.

    • Question says:

So I guess you can’t celebrate Cup Match by going camping then.

    • JJ says:

Yes you can :) for all those that don’t follow cricket I think beach is the second best option if not first to relax and unwind. It’s not all about the cricket for everyone. Cheers!

  2. Ok says:

Oh STFU! You all make such a big deal about emancipation and how you celebrate making it such an issue for our society today when that time has come and passed! Stop using it as a soap box for your rhetoric! Try moving forward as the majority of us do every day towards a better Bermuda

  3. Me says:

WE can celebrate anything anywhere the way WE want to
