Burrows Wins Miller Snooker Tournament

snooker140201The Bermuda Snooker Association held a Miller Tournament at Queens Club and the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club.

The Final went five games with Honky Burrows defeating Timmy Sousa 3 – 2. Burrows won the first game 57 – 43, but Sousa refused to give in winning the second game 55 – 21.

Burrows then won the third game 64 – 21, but once again Sousa came back strong winning the fourth game 56 – 45. It came down to the fifth and final game that saw Burrows hold his nerve and defeat Sousa 53 – 42.

In their best of Three Semi-Final matches, Sousa defeated Maurice Hawkins 2 – 1, Sousa won the first game 76 – 62, Hawkins won the second game 52 – 41, but Sousa would then win the third game 65 – 56.

Burrows also needed three Semi-Final games as he took on John Burns, Burns won the first game 56 – 16, but Burrows fought back and won the second game 56 – 46, Burrows then closed out the game winning the third game 55 – 41.
