Well well well. Competition is certainly picking up in Bermuda. My fear is that operating in telecoms won’t be profitable anymore and all we’ll see is operating optimization and locals losing their jobs.

    • ok says:

You have to ask what is more important, locals recieving cheap monthly prices like usa or locals keeping their jobs. you can get a bundle package very cheaply in usa.prices are still very exspensive here. The most imptant thing is cheaper prices you can’t get upset because technology is moving fast, it is inevitable. It is nothing to be in fear of. Technology will keep on moving forward and changing our lives. This is only the beginning.

      • Umm.... says:

Bermuda needs sustainable industries. Competition is good, but capital investment needs a reasonable return for a business to sustain new products (especially considering all the price cuts in the past 2 years). I personally believe Bermuda can’t sustain so many players in the telecoms industry. I think we’re going to see mergers (and job cuts ie Logic/Northrock). And I don’t think anyone losing their job right now is something any of us should take lightly. When prices fall so fast, people lose their jobs.

  2. Boom bye bye says:

    Woooooooow!

  3. Truth is killin' me... says:

Time for Logic to drop their prices again!

  4. Angelo BB says:

I’ll wait for Cablevision, WOW is like child’s play.

  5. swing voter says:

impressive to offer a complete bundle that is reasonable…considering they don’t have the infrastructure….Stan is the man!

  6. JAY P. says:

WOOOOOW!!! AWESOME DEALS!!! THIS IS MAKING ME WANT TO SWITCH TO WOW!!

  7. SeeNoEvil,HearNoEvil says:

It’s about time someone has done package deals in Bermuda. cable vision step up your game.

  8. United says:

The more competition the better. What is needed now is an access company to join the fray to take on the brother and sister companies BTC & CV. The ISPs are in a price war while these two sit back and watch keeping the access prices the same.

    • Alex says:

Yes, I totally agree with you there!

    • Bakela Masunga says:

The WOW bundle pricing includes the BTC DSL line from what I am led to understand, so In effect BTC have “joined the Party”.

  9. somuchless says:

First the people complain that there is not enough completion and now there is completion and you speak that there might be too much completion now.

    Can’t win.

  10. Terry says:

Have a fireside chat and stop b****.
    Smell the roses or gunja.
    I need a rum.

  11. Competition says:

All we need now is for Cablevision and Wow to offer packages for only the channels we want.

No need to pay for channels in foreign languages that some will never watch!!

  12. nuffin but the truth says:

The general idea is brilliant, but those prices don’t impress me at all,it’s still a lot of money!

  13. Chi says:

XBMC is a great alternative to cable. You can watch what live tv channels and movies that you choose you want watch on there

  14. Y-Gurl says:

Wonder if your phone will go off like the TV does every time it rains!

  15. Ha says:

Cable Vision is about to drop a bomb on all of the internet providers 100 meg internet speed coming soon with all inclusive packages!

    • somuchless says:

When and for how much? I’ve been waiting since the Stone Age.

    • TVwatcher says:

If cablevision are as bad at delivering high speed as they are at delivering their core business product I don’t think anyone has anything to worry about

  16. Coffee says:

Finally a one stop shop .

  17. WOW IS THE WORSE says:

The reason why the HDTV is complimentary is because most of them are always scrambling and do not work. I would like to have seen WOW improve on their service both customer service and quality of service before expanding to provide more services. More money for more subpar service.

Please WOW fix your satellite service to the point where you can watch an HD channel for more than 5 minutes with it not scrambling.

    • Juice says:

And i thought it was just me. They keep telling me to factory reset my box, but that has done nothing to resolve the problem.

  18. X man says:

Still to expensive – we shall see’ drop the first package down to $150 and the second to $180 and your got a winner
or you will be just another Company that has to offer more service in order for it to survive!

  19. bornb says:

    XBMC is FREE 2 ;-)

  20. not_cheap says:

ok yes u are saving a few $ but not much time u pay 99 for btc mine you u don’t have worry if u go over your min. 120 for cable without all the hbo/shotime and if u got cellone u paying 40$ for 8 meg internet =260 and they charging 233 so not much saving I was staying in us paying for the same bundle paying 150$ with 100 meg internet

  21. I heart 441 says:

Moving back to Bermy soon, who do you all recommend I get and why?
