BEF To Host Jumper Show This Sunday
The Bermuda Equestrian Federation is holding a jumper show on Sunday March 16th at the National Equestrian Centre on Vesey Street. There are 33 horses and 38 riders entered throughout the day. The first class starts at 9 am with the Pony Jumping 2’6″ then Pony Jumping 2’9″.
A spokesperson said, “These two classes involve a first round followed by exciting jump-offs that through a combination of faults and fastest times, help determine the placings.
“The next four classes on the schedule are intended for those competitors and/or horses that are in the developmental stage and that are jumping heights up to 2’6″. The Show Organizers are adopting the new “Optimum Time rules” that help determine the placings in accordance with the number of faults and taking into account an optimum time versus the fastest time.
“The second half of the program will then see classes for Horse Jumping starting at 2’9″ going through to 3’9″. The rules of these classes follow those of the Pony Jumping described above.
“The course designer is Ian Truran and the judge is Paul Pereech.”
